From 1 July the Australian Department of Health has made a number of changes to Telehealth appointments.
While telephone consults will still be available for normal appointments, Telehealth for long consultations and new Mental Health Care Plans will now need to be done via video consultation.
The RACGP and Australian Medical Association continue to lobby for wider access to both telephone consults and video consults across the country, particularly during outbreaks as the one we’re currently experiencing.
