At the RACGP National awards, Dr Toby Gardner was announced winner of the Australian GP Supervisor of the Year!

As well as being a Partner at Newstead Medical, Kings Meadows Medical Centre and the Urgent Care Centre, Toby is Deputy Chair of the RACGP Tasmania, RACGP Examiner, Supervisor Liaison Officer at General Practice Training Tasmania, and Lecturer and Simulation Co-Ordinator at the University of Tasmania.

“Receiving this award is a truly awesome honour and testament to the culture of teaching and learning we’ve been able to cultivate at Newstead Medical. Nothing gives me more satisfaction than registrars, who we’ve trained, staying on with us long term and then becoming GP Supervisors themselves.”

This is the second year in a row that a Tasmanian GP has taken home this award (go Tassie!)
